Youth Mentoring Services

Often change can happen because of the actions of a positive role model or mentor. In a recent school study successful students attributed their success to the efforts of a good teacher. These teachers inspired the students with questions, support and inspiration.

The youth mentoring program has been established to meet the requirements of a population in need of answers. The goal is to enable the youth to be able to make strong decisions—on their own.

Topics covered:

1. Independence and Self Reliance—Making your own decisions and paying your own way

2. Thoughtful and Reflective behaviors—Leading to effectiveness

3. Open minded—Looking for the value in others points of view without necessarily accepting them

4. Intellectual Maturity—The pursuit of wisdom

5. Critical thinking—Thinking about your thinking

The topics are presented using a critical thinking model consisting of: Interpretation, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference, Explanation, Self Regulation

Sessions can be done on site, at work , via Skype, or even outside. Group and individual rates available.
