Critical Thinking and how it affected my life

Critical Thinking; When you can be open minded to other people thoughts and opinions. Where you can work with others solving problems successfully by gathering information then making your choice at the end. Asking questions before confirming an answer.

Critical Thinking & How It Already Has Affected My Life

I never knew that the biggest problem in my life was not being a critical thinker. I was always the type of girl who believed she was right while going into an argument or never once stopped to think before she put her fist up. I always sat down and thought to myself that I need to change. There was something I didn't like but I never was able to find it. While going into this class I had a Narrow mind but once I actually focused on Dave's speeches that's where everything took a turn.

The 3rd day is when everything had already started to get to me. I started shaking my head in class and thought...what the hell was i doing? I have already faced street problems after leaving the employ program. Ex- My friend and I almost fighting. Keep in mind I have never worked a problem out while going into a fight. Why? Because I thought fighting solves problem. Turns out I was wrong. Fighting just escalates the problem into more drama. Dave also made me see that the age I was acting while going into these types of situations isn't the age I was supposed to be acting and being able to realize this was a huge step for me. I became intellectually mature and decided to take a breather and talk things out with this friend of mine. Lately, I also have been thoughtful when it comes to others. I am not only thinking of myself, I am thinking about what others feel. I now sometimes even talk to people I don't know just to see how they are doing. I also noticed an energy burst into me recently. I never knew what it was from but realized yesterday when we were assigned this assignment. It was me wanting to change. It was me never knowing what there was about me that I hated. Now I actually have somebody in front of me teaching youth how to use the skills to benefit their life - and now knowing what I want to change about me - feels great because I know now the area I have to focus on. Can you even imagine sitting at home and not knowing what u don't like about yourself? Trust me, it sure does get under your skin but once you know what you need to change...it seriously feels like a life changing experience. You start to feel more comfortable with your decision making because you have an open mind to different opportunities. You then start to feel unstuck because you start to believe that there are other ways to every problem that gets thrown at you.

Critical Thinking & How It Will Affect My life down the long road.

Critical thinking can be a struggle for everyone to use. The more you try to use it the more easier it gets. It can help children, youth, adults and seniors in the long run for many reasons. It can change the way you look at things. It can make you think about the whole problem instead of thinking emotionally. It also gives the ability to be self aware so that we are able to determine of why people act in a certain way and we can find these traits in ourselves too. We also have the ability to have an open and honest mind. I was taught in class that companies and businesses only think about themselves. No company wants someone who says they cant do this or they cant do that. They want someone who is open minded and would be willing to try new things. They also want someone who would be honest with them, incase if someone does steal from the business. They would want someone to tell them and not to mention it shows that you are reliable and trustworthy

It will also help me in the long run because instead of me always thinking there is only one solution to a problem..it can make me open my eyes to see other answers and other ways to solve it.
